Squires' Awards

Circle Awards:

2010

  • Corps d'Elite Award given to the top 15 circles in the world based on overall volunteer and charitable service efforts
  • Brother Barnabas McDonald Founder’s Award given to the top 25 circles in the world based on a single service project. Award was given for Saint Kateri Squires walking team that participated in the annual NJ Alzheimer’s Memory walk and raised over $1,800 to support the caregiver respite program.  Project captain was Frank Cutrone.

2011

  • Corps d'Elite Award given to the top 15 circles in the world based on overall volunteer and charitable service efforts
  • Brother Barnabas McDonald Founder’s Award given to the top 25 circles in the world based on a single service project. Award was given for the Saint Kateri Squires 1st Annual Luminary Night which raised over $2,200 to support the Interfaith Hospitality Network and their programs for the homeless of Sussex County.
    Project captains were Ed Weaver and Ben Insley.

    2012
  • Corps di Elite Award given to the top 15 circles in the world based on overall volunteer and charitable efforts
  • Brother Barnabas McDonal Founder's Award given to the top 25 circles in the world based on a single service project.  Award was given for the Saint Kateri Squires Hurricane Irene Food Drive to benefit the Sparta Food Pantry.  Several hundred pounds of canned and dry food were donated to the pantry.  

Individual Squire Awards:

2011

  • Squire of the Year (Ben Insley)
  • Squire Spirit Award (Dominick Bartolomeo, Matthew Dolecki, Michael Dolecki, Sean Schoch, Ed Weaver)

Scholarship Winners:

2010

  • Jeremy Medina was awarded a special Knights of Columbus scholarship for outstanding students entering the Catholic University of America

2011

  • Joseph More, Jr. was awarded multiple Knights of Columbus scholarships including the ProDeo, John Attardo, Bishop Dougherty, Father Murray, and Saint Kateri Knights scholarships. Joe attends Villanova University.

2012

  • Austin Markferding and Gregory Cooper awarded the NJ Knights Father Murray Catholic High School scholarship for their volunteer, academic, and community efforts. Austin will attend Pope John and Gregory will attend Morris Catholic.
  • Nicolas Gomez and Joe Piccotti are awarded the NJ Knights John Attardo college scholarship for their community, church, and academic achievements. Nicolas will be attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Joey will attend Albright University.
